Another week of super Summer here in Southern Norway. Someone mentioned it was the best summer in 80 years, which on the one hand means it has been one hell of a summer, and on the means it’ll be a long wait for another of equal quality. Still, nothing much I can do about it, apart from try not to melt away. The heat does make it hard to blog about menswear though, or at least in photographic form, as much of the time it’s more about unwearing than wearing. Trying times, indeed.
This week also saw a couple of fresh non-Instagram posts, so anyone thinking I’ve given up on writing can relax and read about excellent backpacks for the coming season, and also a great new book about menswear.
And there is much more to come this Autumn!
A weekend in the country is over. Classic Norwegian valley with pine woods. Full of relics and stave churches. Hydropower from 1928 is retro cool and still providing green power. Derelict mens facility along yesterdays disused railway track. And a little menswear by way of a holiday snap from the UK wearing that @commonpeopleclothing shirt everyone likes. A new week beckons! #dadstyle #vintage #retro
Finally Friday! And cooler weather forecast, even rain! Looking forward to wearing tweed, heavy denim and proper jackets again 😁 Noticed that local menswear shops have dug out vintage Singers to decorate again. And next weeks speedboat race looks to have some decent participants! #dadstyle #chinos from @thoroughstitch #are #ace! #shoes #weekend #tønsberg
